Do you remember a time when life was joyful, free of anxiety and depression?
Today's generations of young and even older adults seem to deal with way more anxiety than our ancestors. Whether because we are so much better informed about dangers, thanks to internet, or because we've lived through a pandemic, and felt the innocence of childhood snatched away, it just takes up residence in the brain. Studies also point to the role of inflammation in the brain, in promoting anxiety. Whatever the causes, so many more are suffering from panic attacks, constant anxiety, social phobia and depression, on a daily basis, nowadays.
And here's the kicker: anxiety and depression are highly connected. The research of leading neuroscientist Dr. Robert Sapolsky has established that anyone who lives with chronic anxiety, or who endures 3 severe periods of anxiety in their lifetime, WILL also develop depression. Once you understand the neuroscience of how this works, you can see the inevitability of this. Unless....
Unless you understand the neuroscience of it so well that you can reverse it.
How many people have you met, that see a therapist weekly, and have done so for years, to treat their anxiety or depression? Does it make sense to you that they go for hundreds of sessions on the couch, over several years, and haven't solved the problem? Or: how many take medications AND a therapist for years, to manage the anxiety or depression, or awful moodiness and mood swings, but still suffer even disabling levels of these mental health problems? Something's wrong with the solutions, wouldn't you agree? Our contention is that people rarely hear about the real, significant steps they can take for themselves, to change their experience. It's not that the medications or therapy are bad, it's just that alone, they never were sufficient solutions to effect major change in our lives. The neuroscience referred to below will help explain this.
In our program, which provides you membership for a full year, you can participate in weekly online group meetings, led by Dr. Gabriel Newman, Neuropsychologist, to learn the neuroscience behind changing your inner emotional world. Hear about practical ways in which the work of Candace Pert, neuroscientist and Nobel Laureate ("Molecules of Emotion") can change your life. Reflect with us on how the important research of Lisa Feldman Barrett ("How Emotions Are Made") has changed our views of the inner emotions - how they are made, and how they can be changed, and let's talk about the work of Dr. Bessel van der Kalk ("The Body Keeps The Score"), and find out how we can make the body DROP the score, to free us up. This is about simple, practical steps you can take, to change your daily life experience. And, we'll take them together, all of us.
What if you had an App, in your phone, that automates a lot of the steps in our program, to gradually reshape your inner and then outer experiences? We help eliminate the need for individual initiative, or for you to brain this through too much, by providing you with this personal aid towards mental health and happiness.
Opportunities to chat at any time of day or night with others in your cohort group are provided, to deepen relationships and learn from each other. We provide membership to an online interactive network, where you can hear from others what has worked for them, and ways in which they have improved their quality of life. But: we will guide that discourse, because many don't realize how certain types of talk can perpetuate, instead of alleviating the anxiety, depression, loneliness or despair.
With the rate of scientific articles and studies having exponentially increased over the past 3 decades, and the possibilities for international access having sped up thousandfold, you could have cutting edge research available to you, to utilize and implement right away, if you could receive a neuroscience newsletter monthly. Through this, you will learn better ways to reduce stress, cope with life, change the emotional sets that developed in your brain over years, and take life into your own hands, at last.
Perhaps because the pharmaceutical industry has done such a superb job of working their way into all aspects of medical and mental health, perhaps because education has been lacking, most folks are simply unaware that there are amazing solutions for mood disorder in the world of natural foods and supplements. What foods serve to reduce anxiety? Is there a tea for that depression, or insomnia? Over the year of your membership, Dr. Newman (a Certified Integrative Professional in Nutrition for Mental Health) will be sharing a wealth of information about diet, exercise and neuromuscular modulation, and how it can help you.
We can't wait to meet you and help bring back the joy back into your life! click below to sign up and get started. Disclaimer: please note that our program does not offer a doctor-patient relationship, or therapist-client. We want to empower you, not the professional.
